With a menu built on quality ingredients and family favourites, it’s no surprise that Pizza Delight has been a success since its doors first opened in Shediac, New Brunswick, in 1968. Eric Deletroz, Pizza Delight’s Director of Culinary Development, trained as a chef in Switzerland and North America, and has worked as a product developer for the past 15 years, many of them with Pizza Delight. “In some rural communities we’re one of the only restaurants in town,” says Chef Deletroz. “Some would say that’s an advantage, but it also means that we have a responsibility to serve food that suits our customers’ tastes and offers them good value.”

The Pizza Delight menu seeks to please customers through its well-known pizzas, pastas, and salads, as well as with the selections on the newly developed Oven Fresh Kitchen Menu. Chef Deletroz, whose experience in product development is instrumental in growing this menu, notes that it gives customers more options, but the concept is the same: to provide healthy, straightforward food that tastes great and is good for you.  To that end, “Oven Fresh Kitchen” offers new favourites like 8 Layer Lasagna, Tuscan® Chicken Panini and the Mediterranean CHOPPED® Salad. “While we’re always looking to update our menu items, some recipes will never change,” continues Chef Deletroz. “We’re famous for our freshly made pizza dough and secret recipe pizza sauce. If our customers love them, why change?”
